I agree though, that this volume lacks depth, but the pure visual stimulation of this movie makes it feel ten minutes long rather than two hours. The scene in the attic with the swords and Sonny Chiba is one of my favorite movie moments ever. It still drives chills down my spine. Tarantino is a rare gift to film. To be completely honest, the first time I watched KBV1 I couldn't finish it because the gore was too much for me. Then I decided to retry watching it a while later and I loved them. Great movies...
