Like most people, Seven Samurai served as my introduction to Kurosawa. Twenty-one Kurosawa films later, Ran is my favorite, but Seven Samurai has always been a close second.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Toshiro Mifune is badass in this one as usual, but Kambei is one of my favourites. The man is so truthful and wise. He says his experience is based on loosing battles. Perhaps the funniest scene in the movie is the woodcutting one:).

Great that someone bothers to review older movies.

i love kurosawa and this movie, but Red Beard is still the best for me.

Oh, I absolutely love this film! Great poster at the top of the post too. Now I know where to come for all the goodness of Japanese cinema. Cool.

Yah this one is great. Uhm I don’t know how much Japanese film you’ve watched thus far, but I know some pretty great ones if you wanna check em out. I won’t list em unless your interested.
