Great writeup of the movie. Any movie with what's basicly a three minute training montage get's my points.:) Without kidding I agree in most parts with what you had to say.

My main criticism on the movie concerns the end part of the film that didn't work so well in my opinion. The most epic part of the movie is when the hun's assemble on top of the mountain in that gigantic line. The small Chinese troop supposed to fight against them looks ridiculous in comparison. Of course Disney couldn't have an epic battle so they dealt with that with Mulan taking care of the entire troop of Huns with the rocket. After that the strongest Huns rise from the snow. There's so few of them that as an adult viewer you know there's not really any way that they could take China anymore.

But, as you say, it is a children's movie. It just that that epic scene with the Huns was the most spectacular part of the movie and it wasn't as exciting after that.
