Takao Nakano’s Japanese cult horror picture Big Tits Zombie (in 3-D, no less) or Kyonyu Dragon, doesn’t waste time getting to the punchline. No pleasantries or vague poetic symbolisms here, what you see is what you get. A clueless group of people find a volume of literate, read aloud from it and bring the dead back to life. The twist? It stars porno stars from Japan. Any hot blooded male will want to check out this film, but any film buff better not come in expecting a good movie. Having a good time, however, is a totally different story.
Starring Sora Aoi, Risa Kasumi, Mari Sakurai, and other big chested women, this is a truely comical movie with heaps of gore. Since I obtain this film in a medium other then sitting in a Japanese cinema, I can’t judge how well the 3-D was utilized, but I can report that the whole film wasn’t in 3-D. It strives for the same blend of comedy and horror from the film, Drag Me to Hell. This film really had all the elements of a campy, entertaining, male focus driven film. Being a guy, perhaps this film review will be biased. Honestly, once the shock and awe settles in though, you might be dissappointed to find out that there are only two scenes where any of the characters live up to their reputation. After all, this isn’t porn. Even I had to remind myself of this several times.

In addition to the zombie slayings and losing of the bras, there is an actual subplot that is interesting. Halfway through the film we do get some backstory as we witness drama from the strippers trying to make ends meet. Once we get past some story line, we head right back into the absurdity and we witness the most unlikely flamethrower you’ll ever see. All in all, this is destined to be a late night campy film that appears and you stop what you are doing and laugh and cheer along with.
The reason why I would like to dive head first into the negative is I was dissappointed the film ultimately didn’t live up to its title. For one, there’s more nudity, and more action in Onechanbara. If you didn’t recall, I gave that film one of the lowest grades this site can dish out, and when you compare, this movie fails. So the best way I can sum this movie up is, if you go in wanting sex and violence, it delivers on a small scale but you would have a much better time just tracking down some live action hentai porn. As a standalone film, once the newness of what your watching wears off I can imagine the gag wearing thin and its appeal wearing out its welcome.
