I think that Lady Blue Shanghai is director David Lynch's best short ever, and he has some very good shorts, such as The Alphabet, Lumiere, and Absurda. Although it is hard for me to recommend a commercial, you should click this review to whet your curiousity. Full review inside...
The Matrix: Reloaded is a 2003 American science fiction film and the second installment in The Matrix trilogy, written and directed by the Wachowski Brothers. It is not for those who dislike a lack of finality in a movie; by the end it raises more questions than it answers. For these reasons, claims about a lack of plot is understandable. Read on to see if the film as a whole is worth your time in the full review...
The story is very loosely based on Jules Verne's novel of the same name, it involves an eccentric inventor Phileas Fogg trying to race around the world and end up back in England within 80 days. Jackie Chan brings to the table his classic fight choreography and humor, but is it enough to make this film great? Find out in the full review...
Bai Ling looks devastatingly gorgeous in The Gene Generation. But you will feel as if you are watching a made for TV movie. I suggest you rent this before you purchase. But, if you're looking for a relatively mindless sci-fi flick with special effects and sex appeal, then this movie should prove to be somewhat satisfying. Click to read the full review...
The Expendables is a classic Hollywood shoot 'em up, but has some sick Jet Li fight scenes and some Cory Yuen martial arts choreography thrown in. The finale of this movie is mind blowing. I mean, it's just one jaw dropping scene after another. I won't give anything away but you could benefit in clicking to read the full review to see if this film is for you...
Bill Murray's character is going through a midlife crisis; Scarlet Johansen's is tormented that she cannot seem to discover her purpose in life. Both are trapped in a place where they know no one, and understand nothing. What place is this you ask? None other than Japan! The way I view documentaries is they are a way to educate people on whatever the subject matter is and ultimately I think if you don't know much about Wu Tang before watching this, you won't gain much knowledge about the subject afterwards. That doesn't mean the whole film isn't worth your time. Click to read the full review...
I'm left to wonder if Shyamalan actually watched an episode of the series or just read the Wikipedia page and went to work. I'll admit there are one or two very minor things that this movie improved on over the show. But does it live up to the hype of the fantastic animated Nickelodean show or does it fall as another terrible adaptation? Click to read the full review...
I have been putting my review of Dragonball: Evolution off for awhile now as the main story is severely butchered to the point where everything is unrecognizable to the original anime. The story is told very hasty and they don't bother to explain anything. The anime was great, no doubt, but how does this film do? Click for the full review...
SPECIAL weekend review as I put the latest 80's franchsie re-boot under the microscope. The new version does more than simply pay homage to the original. The storyline, and sometimes dialogue, are nearly identical. However, the original film received an Oscar nomination, will this Jackie Chan summer hit be worthy of the same praise?
